New Glarus Oktoberfest Retreat

New Glarus Oktoberfest was a success! A damp, cold, delicious, slightly tipsy success. As much fun as we had, October weather can make all day outdoor fests a bit gloomy.
This was a multi-day festival, and that meant an overnight in an area where accommodations book up quickly. We lucked out, though with a homestead Airbnb that we hope was a peek into our future.
Our hosts were wonderful, and we're pretty sure they built literally everything on the property themselves (you can feel the love in every piece of wood), from the gorgeously rustic main house to the raised cabin we stayed in. The visit was made all the better by a very chirpy wakeup call crew at our door in the morning.
The next day we were back to the booth, this time with more of the Beardsgaard crew, who headed up to join us for the festivities. And while we left a lot lighter on product than we came up with, Beardsmith may have gone a little nuts at the meat and cheese and beer shops. As will happen in New Glarus.
