Refund policy

{Carrier Disputes}
We take full responsibility for products and packages until they leave the shop. Once they are checked in by the postal carrier, they are out of our hands. River Peak Apothecary cannot be held liable for packages and items that go missing/are damaged in transit and must be handled with the carrier directly.

{Incorrect Items}
If you received the wrong item, first, we are super sorry about that. Simply send us an email at shop@riverpeakapothecary.com with the details, and we will send you a shipping label to process the return of the item. As soon as it is received, the correct item, generally with some fun extras inside, will be shipped out post haste.

{Returns}
Unused, unworn items in original condition can be returned for up to 60 days from date of shipment for a full refund.

We stand behind our products 100%. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase of a grooming product (beard oil, lotion, etc. as opposed to tools, merch and clothing) we do accept returns of lightly used products up to 30 days from the date of shipment. Please note that more than light use (10%-ish, depending on the product) may be eligible for a refund at our discretion.

To complete your return, we require a digital receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer for brands other than River Peak Apothecary.

{Refunds}
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

{Late or missing refunds}
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at shop@riverpeakapothecary.com.

{Exchanges}
We will process exchanges on items that are defective or damaged within 30 days of purchase. Please email us at shop@riverpeakapothecary.com and send your item to: 119 South Batavia Avenue Batavia Illinois US 60510.

{Gifts}
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be contacted about your return.

{Shipping}
Returns should be mailed to 119 South Batavia Avenue Batavia Illinois US 60510 and include a a receipt and a notation of the reason for your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
